Lady Gaga has found herself at the centre of the controversial Wikileaks scandal.
The whistle-blowing website has released series of extracts from secret cables sent by US embassies.
The exerts give an insight into current global concerns, including fears about the security of Pakistani nuclear material and alleged internet hacking by China's government.
US solider Bradley Manning, who is thought to be behind the leaks, revealed that he smuggled the data using CD-R’s passed off as songs by well-known acts, including Lady Gaga.
“I would come in with music on a CD-RW labelled with something like Lady Gaga... erase the music... then write a compressed split file," he said in an online chat, which has been published.
“No one suspected a thing. (I) listened and lip-synched to Lady Gaga's Telephone while ‘exfiltrating’ possibly the largest data spillage in America history.”
The Wikileaks scandal has been described as “reckless” by the US government.
Meanwhile, Lady Gaga is currently on the latest European leg of her Monster Ball world tour, which is due to call in London next month.
