Lady Gaga Clarifies ARTPOP Song Title

Lady Gaga wants to make it very clear: The song on her upcoming ARTPOP album isn't called "GUY (Go Under You)." It's called "G.U.Y (Girl Under You)." Got it? Good.

All the confusion started thanks to a new interview with Gaga published on the website of U.K. magazine Stylist, in which she was asked "Can makeup and feminism every truly be friends?" and responded by revealing that she'd actually written a song about the issue on her upcoming album.

"I actually think there's a new feminism that is completely different and I don't think either is better or worse ... as a new-age feminist, I would say I quite like the transference of strength I feel by submitting to a man, being under him," she said. "I actually wrote a song about it on my album, it's called 'G.U.Y,' and it stands for 'Go Under You.' "

This revelation, of course, sent her fans into a frenzy, which is all fine and good ... except it turns out Stylist got the song's title wrong. So Gaga took to her LittleMonsters.com site to set the record straight.

"They got the title wrong," she wrote. It's G.U.Y (Girl Under You)."

So there you have it. In a second post, Gaga also revealed that the song in question was produced by Zedd ... though there is still no information about which "volume" of ARTPOP it may appear on. But at least now you know what it's called. And has Gaga has proven many times in the past, the devil is truly in the details.
