Lady Gaga Confirms Album With 'Darling' Jazz Legend Tony Bennett

Lady Gaga might be hard at work on ARTPOP, but she's also got another project in development.

The singer's long-rumored jazz album with music legend Tony Bennett has just been confirmed by the Mother Monster.

She took to Twitter on Wednesday, where she hinted at the forthcoming release. "And here's me and my handsome date, I simply cannot wait for our album together, he's my darling!" she wrote about Bennett, who attended President Obama's Staff Ball on Tuesday with her. She posted a photo of herself with the singer onstage, as well as a photo of her sitting behind a white piano in the shape of a futuristic Batmobile, billing the event "#whitehausball."

The party was held one day after the President's formal inauguration in Washington, D.C. In a clip posted on the Huffington Post, Gaga reworked her Born This Way track, "You & I," for the occasion, changing up the lyrics to include, "Sit back down on the couch where we watched you win a second time in front of the country," she sang before adding, "You won, twice."

Tickets for the event cost $10, with all proceeds going to the Alex Okrent Memorial Fund, according to the New York Daily News. At it, she also reportedly sang "The Edge of Glory" and "Born this Way" as well as her Bennett collaboration on the classic "The Lady Is a Tramp."

The Bennett/Gaga album first made news late last year, but with so much focus on Gaga's other 2013 release, it seemed to go on the back burner, until now. However, there is still no word on when fans will get to hear the release. But, as any Little Monster knows, Gaga and Bennett's friendship runs deep.

They previously worked together on "The Lady Is a Tramp" off his 2011 release Tony Bennett: Duets II. And, back then he only had the kindest words for the eccentric pop star. "My favorite is that Lady Gaga," the legendary crooner gushed to MTV News about the Mother Monster back in 2011.

"She's the biggest. I'll tell you, I never met anyone with more talent than that lady."
