The eccentric 25-year-old singer is believed to have enlisted the help of her mum, Cynthia Germanotta, to help her wade through the pile of film scripts she has received since first mentioning that she would like to try her hand at acting last year.
'Gaga loves films and this is the next step for her,' a source told The Sun. 'Stacks of offers have come in and she hasn't had time to take a look until now.
'It's really important her first film is good as it will set the benchmark for future work.'
