Lady Gaga has officially launched her latest video.
After weeks of anticipation the controversial star finally released the promo for her new single Applause on daytime talk show Good Morning America Monday August 19.
The video, directed by fashion photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, features the singer dancing nearly nude on a tower of people except for wings and smeared makeup. At one point she even transforms into a swan inside a giant magician's hat.
Gaga gushed on Facebook: "I am grateful to share this new experience with you!
"I've thought of you fans every moment since the last BTW Ball, & dreamt everyday how I could make it up to you. Only with your happiness comes mine."
Immediately following her Applause debut she headed over to Z100 Studios in New York City for a satellite radio interview.
Last week Gaga garnered headlines after blasting celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, real name Mario Lavandeira, Jr., in a series of scathing tweets.
She even accused Perez of stalking her when she went public with the long-running feud.
"Still have the text Perez sent me of me in a wheelchair w the words KARMA written across + Madonna pointing a gun at me. Day of my accident," the 27-year-old star revealed.
"STAY AWAY FROM ME + MY FAMILY YOU ARE SICK TRYING TO RENT AN APARTMENT IN MY BUILDING TO STALK ME. LEAVE ME ALONE!!!"
Gaga's fans, dubbed Little Monsters, issued a string of threatening messages to Perez in response to her outcry.
But on Monday the pop icon wrote a letter to her followers asking them to back off.
"Sending threats of any kind, using hateful or abusive language, and the provoking of others on the Internet is not supported by me or anything that I stand for," she wrote on her Born This Way Foundation's Tumblr account.
Gaga is opening the MTV Video Music Awards, which will take place in New York City at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on August 25.
