Fans of Lady Gaga have been left divided by the singer's new single, 'Born This Way'.
The track, taken from her new album of the same name, was released at 2pm (GMT) today (February 11).
Gigwise has already been inundated with fans' reaction to the track – and so far it is fixed.
Nigel called the song an “absolute classic”, while Klaus called 'Born This Way', which encourages people to be themselves, was a “song for her fans”.
But many other fans drew comparisons between 'Born This Way' and Madonna's hit 80s single 'Express Yourself'.
Music-bug, from Greece, said: “I'm a huge Gaga fan and while I was listening to the song I wondered, 'They said it'd be Gaga's new song, but I hear Express Yourself 2011.'
“It's a cool song, too camp for me, although I'm gay, but it doesn't have that magic Gaga element that made her previous songs so unique. That's my honest opinion.”
An anonymous commenter said the song was “very, very average”, but hoped it would “grow on me eventually”.
'Born This Way' is the first single to be taken from Lady Gaga's new album of the same name, due out in May.
