Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, grew up in an apartment in New York's Upper West Side - and says she could hear everything her parents were up to.
The Marry the Night singer said: 'My parents' room and the one I shared with my sister were on the top floor. There are no doors on the bedrooms. My parents could hear everything me and my sister said growing up. And I heard them too!'
Gaga added that she likes being with her parents, but 'domestication' scares her.
Speaking while turning on the Christmas lights at New York's Madison Square Garden, the 25-year-old added: 'I love being with my parents, but I also really fear domestication. I just don't have a home. I stay between my friends' places and my parents.'
