Lady Gaga was determined to look "fabulous" at a recent party as she was so scared about seeing mean girls from her past.
The flamboyant singer is outspoken but still shares the same worries as many other women. Although she was excited by the prospect of celebrating her pal's engagement, Gaga was nervous about meeting up with some of the other guests.
"I am throwing my best friend an engagement party this weekend and I'm going to be seeing all these girls from high school and I would be totally lying to you if I didn't say I was worried about how I'm going to look! I was saying earlier, 'I have to look fabulous, I have to look absolutely amazing, some of them were horrible to me!'" she laughed to Stylist magazine.
Gaga hit the headlines recently as she flaunted a fuller figure. She has put on around 30lbs. and is so proud of her new figure she started a Body Revolution movement to help people accept their appearance.
The 26-year-old star worries about the pressure women put on each other to always look pristine.
"I think women are just, for no reason, wretched to each other all the time, and I don't think they use clothes or men or perfume or make-up or anything more than they use anything else. We should all make an effort to be nice to one another all the time," she said.
Gaga admits men also influence her choices. She has been seen in a range of wild outfits including a jacket made of Kermit the Frog puppets and a round hat made of flowers which almost entirely covered her face. The star sometimes considers what male admirers would make of her look.
"Sometimes, yeah. Sometimes I think, 'Well, no-one's going to want to f**k me in that!'" she laughed.
