Lady Gaga is proud she has a hand in writing all of her songs.
Yesterday news broke via Billboard that the iconic singer will be honoured in the Songwriters Hall of Fame, receiving the inaugural Contemporary Icon Award on June 18.
While the 29-year-old was quick to repost the article on Twitter, she took issue with a line in the piece that read: "Gaga has had a hand writing most of her hits, including Poker Face, Applause and Just Dance."
"just one revision should be made to that article. I've had a hand in writing ALL my hits. A proud female songwriter! (sic)," she corrected the publication in a tweet.
A statement from the Hall of Fame revealed Gaga was receiving the award because she is an artist "who has attained an iconic status in pop culture".
Others to be honoured in June include Cyndi Lauper and fun.'s Nate Ruess, who will pick up the Hal David Starlight Award, which goes to young songwriters.
Things are going very well for Gaga right now, with the singer accepting a proposal from boyfriend Taylor Kinney on Valentine's Day.
The wedding is set to be a lavish affair with Gaga's friend and collaborator Tony Bennett accepting a request to serenade the couple on the big day.
"They invited me to do it and, of course, I will," Tony told New York Post's Page Six of his wedding-singer duties, adding, "All I know is, knowing Lady Gaga, it will be fabulous."
