The Poker Face star has invested in an Italian eatery in her native New York.
Peter Dee, the owner of Vince & Eddie's on Manhattan's Upper West Side, said the singer, real name Stefani Germanotta, had been going to the restaurant for years.
'They were customers, and they approached us,' he said.
'We have done some promotions with her in the past.'
Gaga's parents, Cynthia and Joseph, have also become partners at the restaurant, which opened in 1989.
The 24-year-old star grew up in the wealthy neighbourhood, where her parents and younger sister still live.
'When she's in town, she likes to come here with her friends, because it's very homey and private,' her mother has said of the restaurant.
A representative for Gaga – who famously wowed fans by wearing a raw meat dress at an awards show in September - was unavailable for comment.
