Lady Gaga has been nominated for six MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs).
The flamboyant singer is up for several of the biggest accolades of the ceremony, including Best Song, Best Live and Best Pop.
Katy Perry is mentioned in four categories and will vie with Gaga for many of the prizes. She also features in the Best Song group, thanks to her track Firework. Born This Way won Gaga her nomination, with Adele, Bruno Mars and Jennifer Lopez also in the running.
Katy and Gaga will battle it out for the Best Pop prize, which could also go to Britney Spears, Justin Bieber or Rihanna. Best Live could go to either of the two American stars as well, although they face stiff competition from Coldplay, Foo Fighters and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
It comes as no surprise that Gaga and Katy both appear in the Best Female category, alongside Adele, Beyoncé Knowles and Jennifer Lopez.
Gaga's final two prizes may come from the Biggest Fans and Best Video groups.
It's also a good day for Bruno who has received multiple nominations. He's up for the coveted Best Male prize, with David Guetta, Eminem, Justin Bieber and Kanye West also getting nods.
Bruno also appears in the Best New and Best Push categories.
Other key awards include Best Hip-Hop, which sees Eminem, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z & Kanye West, Pitbull and Snoop Dogg in the running.
Either Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Linkin Park, Kings of Leon or Red Hot Chili Peppers will be named Best Rock.
The MTV EMAs will take place in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on November 6.
