Lady Gaga: `My facial horns are natural`

The 24-year-old singer has been sporting bizarre lumps and bumps since debuting new single Born This Way. She told a US chat show host they had always been on her body.

'They've been there this whole time but I waited until I'd put Born This Way Out for you to see them,' she smiled.

Her odd claim comes just a week after she insisted that she had spent 72 hours cocooned in an egg in the run up to her performance at the Grammy Awards.

Gaga appeared on Gayle King's talk show with flesh-coloured spikes on her forehead, cheeks and shoulders.

Her new look has drawn comparisons with Kryten – the plastic-faced robot from 90s BBC space comedy Red Dwarf.

The American pop star, who also donned a black catsuit, huge platform shoes, and blue dye on her sculpted hair, even tried to claim she had thrown her outfit together at the last minute.

'I just woke up in my New York apartment and just wanted to be myself today, so I wore my vintage mute glare catsuit and these are my favourite shoes right now,' she said.
