Lady Gaga has been tapped to play Ben Stiller's love interest in Zoolander 2, according to reports.
The Born This Way singer has been offered $4.8 million to feature in the follow-up to the 2001 cult comedy, claims UK newspaper The Sun.
The sequel will see Ben reviving his most iconic role as dim-witted fashion model Derek Zoolander.
Owen Wilson and Will Ferrell will also resume their respective roles as obnoxious model Hansel and manipulative Jacobim Mugatu.
Gaga is believed to be on a short list with stars including Kate Moss, Kate Upton, Heidi Klum and Adriana Lima also being considered for the love interest role.
"Gaga is top of their wish-list. She has the talent and attitude - and an amazing sense of humour," a source told the publication.
Actor, director and producer of the project, Ben recently opened up about the new plot.
"It's ten years later and most of it is set in Europe. I don't want to give away too much, but it's basically Derek and Hansel ten years later," he told Empire magazine.
Filming is scheduled to begin early next year.
