The pop icon has filed a lawsuit against a jewellery and cosmetics company that is trying to trademark the name 'Lady Gaga by Design'.
The suit is filed in Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit against Excite Worldwide, a Chicago-based company that is trying to launch the line of accessories.
Lady Gaga, 25, is worried that her little monsters might not realise that she isn't the designer of the products - and that she has nothing at all to do with them.
Her lawyers have also accused Excite of filing 'frivolous' trademark applications, which are blocking Gaga's legitimate attempts to patent her name under the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Merchandise that is actually approved by Lady Gaga such as: 'candles, key chains, bags, towels, lanyards, tattoos, wigs and ornaments' are all still awaiting trademark, says the suit and the Excite claim is causing 'confusion in the marketplace', it states.
Gaga's suit is seeking that the court block Excite from using the name and pay up undisclosed money damages.
Excite's representatives have declined to comment.
