Rihanna, in a spectacular designer dress, Eminem and Dr Dre join forces to sing Love The Way You Lie. Justin Bieber also performed with Jaden Smith and his mentor, Usher.

A snake-hipped Mick Jagger put in an incredible performance belying his 67 years. It was the first time Sir Mick had performed live at the Grammys in his 50-year career.

He was without his Rolling Stones and produced a spectacular version of Solomon Burke's Everybody Needs Somebody.

Another golden oldie, Bob Dylan, also performed with Mumford & Sons and The Avett Brothers.
