Videos from the likes of Rihanna and Lady Gaga could be banned from TV, in order to protect children.
According to the BBC, a new report suggests that ‘raunchy’ music videos could be banned from TV before 9pm, with nudity and sexual scenes earning 15 or 18 ratings.
The proposal is highlighted in a recent report on the sexualisation of children ordered by PM David Cameron.
The report by Reg Bailey blasts viewing of such videos by Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry. She claims that consumers should "make an active choice over whether they allow adult content or not".
As previously reported on Gigwise, Rihanna has been slammed over the video for her new single 'Man Down', which begins with her shooting a man in the head.
