Ahead of Europe's most anticipated music award ceremony, the 2010 MTV Europe Music Awards, Nokia's Ovi Music reveals Lady Gaga is set to scoop all five award nominations ' if music downloads are anything to go by.
Lady Gaga, the self-styled Princess of Pop, is the world's most popular female artist, according to music downloads from Ovi Music across 38 countries*. She is going head-to-head with pop rival Katy Perry who is also up for five awards, and the two will lock horns in Best Pop, Best Female, Best Song and Best Video categories.
If downloads from Nokia's Ovi Music service determined the winner, Lady Gaga would wipe the floor with Katy Perry. She currently tops the download charts in over 38 countries and claims two out of the world's five most downloaded tracks ' Bad Romance and The Fame
According to track downloads from Ovi Music, Lady Gaga has a 40 percent share of downloads compared with rival female nominees including Shakira, Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Rihanna, Alexandra Burke and Miley Cyrus
Bad Romance is the most popular Lady Gaga track, followed by The Fame and Alejandro
The UK accounts for the largest number of Gaga downloads across 38 markets ' followed by China, Finland and Brazil**
