The generous 'Paparazzi' singer sent for 35 portions of the calorific takeaway to feed herself and her entourage while they were in Cardiff, Wales, earlier this week.
Tariq Siddique, who owns the Albany Fish Bar, said: "I had a call from her manager saying all the crew wanted to experience our fish and chips. A runner turned up in a van, handed over £140 and took the meals away.
"They said they'd asked someone local about where to get the best fish and chips in town. I don't know what they made of the mushy peas, as they're all Americans."
The 'Poker Face' star reportedly enjoyed her meal so much, she is now desperate to get someone to teach her chefs how to make "authentic" British battered fish when she returns to the US.
A source said: "Gaga's all about excess and she's getting as much of the meal in as she can while she's touring.
"She's been quizzing the chip shop owners on how to make the perfect batter so her chefs can whip up authentic fish and chips when she's back in America."
This is not the first time the singer has showed her generosity to her crew while in the UK.
It was recently revealed she had splashed out on luxury suites at three of the most expensive hotels in Liverpool, North West England, for her staff when she played a show there.
A source said: "She told staff, 'Only the best will do.' She booked the largest suites in the city."
