Lady Gaga is facing a lawsuit over claims that her track 'Judas' is plagiarised from another singer.
Rebecca Francescatti has filed papers in court this week against Gaga, alleging that the singer plagiarised her 1999 song 'Juda'.
Francescatti is now seeking profits from the sale of 'Judas' or an unknown amount in damages.
Speaking to TMZ, Francescatti's lawyer Chris Niro said: ''Though the songs are different styles, the composition is the same and the chorus is the same melody.''
''[Rebecca] is seeking recognition for what she created.''
Lady Gaga has not yet been available to comment.
As previously reported on Gigwise, the singer was sued just before she performed at the MTV Video Music Aid Japan benefit show in Tokyo in June, after she was accused of keeping money she made from selling charity wristbands.
