Lady Gaga has said she is planning to release a Christmas album this year.
The singer, whose new album 'Born This Way' looks set to sell over 250,000 copies in its first week on sale in the UK, has revealed that she is planning to release an album of jazz covers in time for the festive season.
In a new interview with Stephen Fry, which is due to be published in the Financial Times this Saturday (May 28), the singer says she is already planning the release. She said: "I thought it would be really sweet to do a Christmas release of Gaga and the jazz standards. I really want to do it. I've spoken to my manager."
Lady Gaga has recently taken to covering Nat King Cole’s single 'Orange Coloured Sky' during her live set and it is likely that this would be one of the tracks to feature on the album.
'Born This Way' is currently outselling the rest of the UK’s top 30 albums put together and looks set to oust Adele’s '21' from the top of the UK album chart on Sunday (May 29).
