Lady Gaga to debut live recording

Lady Gaga plans to "leak" a live recording of one of her unreleased tracks on Christmas Day.

The singer has been trying to work out what to give her fans as a present over the festive period.

She has now announced she will make public a live version of a tune from her album Born This Way.

The star said the previously unheard version was recorded while travelling on her tour bus.

"Been racking my brain on what to get Little Monsters for Christmas!! I finally figured it out!!" she tweeted.

"On Christmas Day I will leak to you an unreleased Song off Born This Way! It was recorded live, in one take, on the tour bus. Uncensored (sic)."

Lady Gaga isn't the only one getting musical over the holidays.

Alicia Keys has been building a playlist of all her latest tracks so she can tweak them during her break.

The singer has been teasing fans with little details about her highly anticipated follow-up to 2009's The Element of Freedom.

"Creating a new playlist of all the songs I'm working on to vibe with during the holiday ;-) (sic)," she wrote.
