According to British newspaper the Daily Mirror, the 24-year-old is spending £1.2million on having her New York pad done up.
And the Born This Way singer plans to include a replica of the giant egg she emerged from at this year's Grammys.
An insider told the publication: 'This house project is Gaga's new baby.
'The egg vessel is being made especially for her. She will be able to sleep in it, in place of a double bed.
'She felt so at home in the egg on stage - she spent hours in it meditating and says when she's in it she feels at peace.'
The star's new revamped home will also showcase several props and clothes she has collected on her travels.
Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, is said to have already hired a team of architects and work is due to begin in under a fortnight.
Her pals Rick Genest and Nicola Formichetti are set to give her advice on the interior design.
