Eight Lady Gaga wax works are being unveiled at Madame Tussauds wax work museums today (09.12.10).
Museums around the world - including London, New York, Las Vegas, California, Amsterdam, Berlin, Shanghai and Hong Kong - are displaying their own replicas of the eccentric singer, with each figure donning an iconic outfit made famous by the 'Poker Face' hitmaker.
In London, fans had been shown eight possible outfits the British model could wear until the last possible moment, when it was unveiled to show the figure wearing a replica of the famous Philip Treacy telephone hat, teamed with a custom-made Giorgio Armani Prive midnight blue double-breasted jacket with wide lapels, pagoda-style shoulders, flared trousers and high-heeled shoes.
Edward Fuller, General Manager of Madame Tussauds London, said: "The demand to include Lady Gaga has been overwhelming and we are more than happy to oblige.
"It's been quite a challenge to keep details of eight figure launches top secret but the fans certainly seem to have enjoyed the intrigue. We are delighted to have been able to work with Philip Treacy to ensure the look is spot on and look forward to seeing the other styles at our sister attractions as they go public across the day."
In Hong Kong, their Lady Gaga replica is wearing a black Black Marjan Pejoski Body suit with oversized black neck ruff and has sleek, straight platinum blonde hair, while Berlin's model has a black satin body suit, leather belt and Bruno Pieters silk jacket cut away to reveal black lace bra, disc hat and thigh-high black boots.
Shanghai's Lady Gaga has short black Orschel-Read trousers with black top, thigh-high patent boots and black lightning stripe make up over one eye, while Madame Tussauds Amsterdam's model has a nude body suit, white blazer, platform shoes and towering purple hair piece over waist-length platinum blonde locks.
