Lauren Conrad lands three-book deal

The 25-year-old's new reality show may have been dropped by MTV in February, but the former Hills star already has a new venture.

The series will be called Fame Game and will be a follow-up of her previous series L.A. Candy.

The book series tells the story of Madison Parker, the ambitious character from L.A. Candy.

Conrad told UsMagazine.com: 'We took the mean girl of the [L.A. Candy books], spinning her off.'

Lauren added: 'This series is about a girl who loves everything that fame is, and that's all she's ever really wanted.

'[Madison] has fun with the press, she enjoys the attention, she welcomes scandal!'
