The Hills star revealed various pictures of herself through the years as she urged teens not to give in to the temptations of illegal substances.
Appearing in the latest online film from Natural High TV, the 24-year-old said she has focused on her career as a TV personality and fashion designer instead.
'I think when you're so involved with drugs you have such a lack of interest and you just don't care about your future,' she said.
She added: 'With fashion it was just this is what I want, so this is what I am going to do.
'I just genuinely didn't want to do them, never really had an interest [in drugs].'
Dad Jim Conrad, who also appears in the clip, said: 'Lauren always had a passion for fashion and design. It's been so important to her.'
Lauren's third novel, Sugar and Spice, hits stores later this year.
She also has a style guide in the works, as well as a new MTV network reality TV show, Lauren Conrad: Fiercely Fashionable.
