Lea Michele doing 'much better'

Lea Michele is doing "much better" four months after Cory Monteith's death.

The 27-year-old actress lost her boyfriend to a drug overdose on July 13 and insiders close to the star reportedly tell People.com her outlook is getting "a little brighter".

"Lea is doing much better," a source told the publication.

The Glee star, who also played Cory's love interest on the hit TV musical, has been throwing herself into work.

People reports she's finding solace in her network of friends and family, and she recently began work on her first solo album.

"A truly incredible day," Lea tweeted from the set of her debut music video on Sunday, calling the project a "#dreamcometrue".

On Monday the star was looking forward to rejoining the cast of Glee, who mourned Cory's death with a tribute episode last month.

"Happy Monday everyone. Early morning at #Glee today! Let's get this week going!" the star tweeted.

Lea recently opened up to America's Elle magazine about losing her love. Acknowledging the grieving process has been a struggle, the actress vowed to persevere.

"Now that I'm in this position, you can choose to rise, which is what I'm going to try to do. It's very hard and you have to be very strong to come out of this alive," she said.

Lea also revealed she recorded a song dedicated to Cory, adding it at the last minute to the record.

You're Mine was added to the track list after the singer's music label asked her if there was anything else she wanted to include. The star confessed she'd regret it if she left it out.

"It makes me so happy, this song. It makes me think so much of Cory. It was ours. When I think of him, I play this," she said.
