Lea Michele has dubbed Glee creator-and-producer Ryan Murphy her and Cory Monteith's "matchmaker".
Lea and Cory met on the set of the highly acclaimed TV musical comedy half a decade ago.
Their characters are romantically involved in the programme and the couple began dating in real life in early 2012.
Lea and Cory were involved in other relationships before uniting with each other.
The actress believes that Ryan always saw romantic potential between them.
"Yes, I would definitely say he is my matchmaker for sure," she told E! News.
Ryan was clear that Lea and Cory would make a good couple from the outset.
He witnessed first-hand the sparks that flew between them while they were filming.
"I directed them in their first scene together and they had that sort of chemistry that you can't fake, and I said, 'Uh-oh,'" Ryan recalled. "So I did kind of know. I take credit."
Lea has spoken previously about how elated she is to have the opportunity to professionally collaborate with Cory.
"I love working with Cory, I always have," she told People magazine.
"He really, really inspires me, and he motivates me and I think he's just so talented.
"Working with him has been one of the best experiences of this whole process. I'm so happy."
The fourth season of Glee premiered on Fox last September.
