The 28-year-old singer, who admitted to having an affair with the CSI actor, blasted E! News for its false report which stated the pair were set to tie the knot.
Taking to Twitter, she wrote, 'OK, I've about had it with the lack of 'reporting' with E News.
'The fact that our 'engagement' has spread so furiously over the past 24 hours off of an E News article that is 150 per cent untrue just shows you the lack of credible 'sources' they seem to find and build a story around.
'Even though this is positive 'news' its not true. (sic)'
The couple met on the set of TV film Northern Lights in 2009 and started a relationship which led to Rimes divorcing her husband of eight years Dean Sheremet
