LeAnn Rimes' co-star denies affair

LeAnn Rimes' co-star Eddie Cibrian has denied they are having an affair.

The 35-year-old married actor - who was caught on camera apparently kissing the singer-and-actress, who he worked with on TV movie 'Northern Lights' - insists their relationship is strictly platonic.

He said: "Other than being friends and two actors who were romantically intertwined in a movie-for-TV we filmed last fall, there is no truth to the reporting initiated by US Magazine. It is a fabricated story that is using random snapshots as connective tissue to create a scandalous relationship."

LeAnn - who has been married to her former backing dancer Dean Sheremet since 2002 - was seen on security footage kissing and holding hands at California's Mosun and Club M on March 7.

It has also been claimed the 26-year-old star spent three hours with married Eddie, 35, at the Malibu Beach Inn on March 14.

Last night (19.03.09), a friend of the beauty confirmed LeAnn's marriage has hit a rough patch.

The source said: "There are some feelings there but it's too early to tell if it's going to develop and if she's done with her marriage. LeAnn and Dean are figuring it out. They have a lot of mutual respect for one another.

"The situation that she's grappling with right now is not the cause for her marriage troubles. There have been issues brewing for months prior to meeting Eddie on set."

Meanwhile, Dean has spoken out in support of LeAnn.

Yesterday he wrote on his Twitter webpage: "I Love My Wife!!!"
