LeAnn Rimes has pondered about having children via surrogacy or adoption before.
The 30-year-old country singer says she would consider all avenues to expand her family with husband Eddie Cibrian.
LeAnn is stepmother to Eddie's sons Mason, nine, and six-year-old Jake from his previous marriage to reality star Brandi Glanville.
She reveals it may not be easy for her to become pregnant.
"It took my mom 12 years to have me," LeAnn told People. "I hope I don't have that [issue] but if I do, then a surrogate is something I've thought about. Eddie and I have also talked about adopting. My capacity to love a child doesn't stop at my own eggs, obviously."
LeAnn and Eddie married in 2011, two years after splitting from their respective spouses due to their scandalous affair with one another.
Mason and Jake live with LeAnn and Eddie part-time.
"We have a lot on our plates," acknowledged LeAnn. "But whenever I talk about kids, I'm like, 'Let's have one!' I have a lot of work to do now but I'm totally ready if it happens.
"Eddie is an amazing father and I love my stepsons."
However, living with three males means LeAnn would especially welcome a baby daughter into the family.
"Testosterone is all around here so I need a little girl," she laughed.
LeAnn is currently promoting her new album Spitfire which will be released worldwide on June 4.
