LeAnn Rimes says her life only started clicking into place when she hit 30.
The country singer opened up in a new interview, admitting that reaching the landmark age caused her to reevaluate her existence.
LeAnn, who is married to Eddie Cibrian, added she had previously found it difficult to separate her personal and professional lives.
"I don't think I came into who I am outside of music and the name LeAnn Rimes until the last two years," LeAnn told StyleBlazer. "You have so many opinions and ideas from so many other people telling you what you should and shouldn't do, at such a young age, that it was really difficult to find myself outside of my career. It's been quite a journey. Once I hit 30, I think it really started clicking for me."
"I grew up with a career so early, and now it's almost completely reversed," LeAnn added. "Now I'm able to settle in a little bit and do some self-exploration."
LeAnn also revealed she credits her husband with helping her get things back on track.
And she thinks their personality differences make them work well together.
"We're two very different people. He's such a dude and a quiet guy. I'm always like, 'let's talk about it all,'" she said. "We bring out the best in each other. He knows my weaknesses and celebrates it all, and it's nice for him to support any kind of change or growth that's happening.
"I think that's the biggest thing that I've found in my relationship with Eddie. With kids and a job and all that, you forget to find time for yourself. It's still very difficult for me to not feel selfish about doing that, but you just really have to keep that time because it's important."
