LeAnn Rimes insists she won't be "too crazed" as a mother.
The 31-year-old singer is married to Eddie Cibrian, who has two sons with his ex-wife Brandi Glanville. Being step-mother to Mason and Jake has prepared the star for parenthood in some ways, with LeAnn believing she'll have things down when she has kids of her own.
"He's the best Dad already," she told Us Weekly of Eddie. "I have a little bit of experience with the kids now so, I feel like I wouldn't be too crazed. It doesn't feel like a real first, first!"
Eddie was also present during the interview and hinted he isn't ready for a bigger family just yet.
"Look, maybe we should just get another dog and then see how that goes…" he said, with LeAnn immediately interjecting: "It's harder than babies actually! Potty training [dogs] is way worse!"
LeAnn and Eddie got together when they were both married to other people and as a couple, their relationship with Brandi has been difficult. She has appeared on reality TV show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, with Eddie seemingly poking fun at that when he discussed his and LeAnn's upcoming reality show LeAnn & Eddie.
"I mean, look. You can expect a lot of drinking and a lot of fights and we throw a lot of sh*t at each other and it's a debacle. It's horrible," he laughed.
LeAnn took a more serious note, insisting the show is a way for the couple to let their fans see their everyday lives. She feels so much is written about them that many people don't know what they are really like; something she wanted to rectify.
"I think people really think we take ourselves seriously," she said. "It's so opposite of that but no one ever gets to see it. Other than the reason of us wanting to work together and be home with the kids, why not have fun and poke fun at everything that's gone on for the last five years."
