Lil Kim has denied stiffing high-paying fans at a meet and greet.
The rapper played at Fort Lauderdale, Florida venue The Manor over the weekend, with 100 fans allegedly paying top dollar for the chance to speak with her at the show.
Subsequent reports claimed she lost out on a $23,000 payday when she failed to follow through on plans to socialise with concertgoers, but in a series of tweets Kim blames the club for the mix-up.
"Fort Lauderdale. I love y'all so much. Sh*t was LIT 2night!!! Please get ur $$$ back from the club. I never knew about a meet n greet (sic)," she wrote.
Kim also slammed organisers for misleading fans, assuring them she didn't have any part in the botched event.
"U know I love u and I would never deceive U guys. But business is business and they are #jankypromoters #badbusiness #FortLauderdale (sic)," she wrote.
Howard King, an attorney for The Manor, said club bosses are planning to sue Kim, telling TMZ she also arrived late.
The alleged incident follows nearly three months after the rapper reportedly caused "absolute panic" when she arrived after her call time for the Lovebox festival in London, forcing organisers to cancel her performance at the last minute, according to UK newspaper The Mirror.
"Lil' Kim did not turn up to her set on time. The festival had no other option but to maintain the scheduled running order to ensure the other main stage acts were not disrupted," a statement from organisers read.
The star's spokesperson meanwhile maintained the tardiness was not the performer's fault.
"Due to circumstances that were out of Kim's control, her performance at #LoveBox was cancelled. Kim was on-site and on time for her performance and apologises to all of her fans for the inconvenience," publicist Lizzie Grubman tweeted.
