Lindsay Lohan has left Betty Ford Rehabilitation Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif. and transferred to residential rehabilitation center Cliffside Malibu, according to E! and TMZ.
"She wanted a change," an unnamed source told E!
The website speculates that attorney Shawn Holley chose Cliffside and that prosecutors, as well as Judge James Dabney, reportedly signed off on the transfer.
Lindsay is expected to remain at Cliffside until she completes her 90-day court-ordered stint in August.
E! claims that Lohan's father, Michael Lohan said, "she wasn't getting any individual therapy" and it was the "same old thing to her."
Cliffside Malibu was recently featured on the Katie show on June 10. The subject of suburban heroin and opiate addiction was covered with Cliffside Malibu resident internist and former child star Dr. Ramon Raskin. Dr. Raskin offered "Zach" of Tewksbury, Massachusetts, a complimentary 90-day stay at the luxurious seaside residential facility.
Cliffside Malibu is owned and operated by bestselling author ("Ending Addiction for Good") Richard Taite. Taite and Cliffside's publicist Arlene Howard are offering "no comment" regarding Lohan's reported transfer and stay. www.cliffsidemalibu.com
