A collaboration between french electro legends daft Punk and rapper Jay Z has surfaced online. Listen below.
Leaked on the Daft Club message board by a user, the track was apparently intended for the soundtrack of a Disney project. Many have questioned whether the track is genuine due to the extremely stereotypical vocoder samples remniscient of 'Harder Better Faster Stronger' taking it into extreme levels of cliché. Also not to mention some awful lyrics about "macking on a Blackberry" from Jay.
Nevertheless the track itself does appear to be real thanks to anonymous sources confirming to Pitchfork that it is genuine.
Due to the alleged time frame of the track, the sound and the Disney association it's very likely that it is an unreleased cut from the Tron: Legacy soundtrack or the Tron: Legacy Reconfigured remix album. It also matches up with 2011 blog posts about the potential track and includes samples from the Son of Flynn portion of Daft Punk's score.
