Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett have revealed the first taste of their highly anticipated collaboration, a cover of 'Anything Goes' by Cole Porter. Listen to it below.
The jazz production of the track is exquisite and both artists have impeccable voices for jazz music. Whilst many are not used to seeing Gaga sing in such a fashion, it is wholly becoming of her and proves that underneath all the meat dresses and bizarre contraptions, there really is a lot of talent.
Gaga said of the duet: "It's got this real sexy, powerful vibe to it, and it's just because we're having fun singing it." Speaking of her relationship with the octogenarian jazz legend, the pop star says: "There might be 60 years between me and Tony, but there's no distance between us when we sing jazz."
Bennett too has expressed his admiration for his fellow performer, gushing about Gaga by saying to MTV News: "My favourite is that Lady Gaga, she's the biggest. I'll tell you, I never met anyone with more talent than that lady."
The pair will promote their upcoming joint album with a PBS Great Performances Concert Special, set to air in the states October 24. Their collaborative album, Cheek to Cheek, is due out this September.
