Mark Wahlberg won't star in Fifty Shades of Grey - as he'd be accosted by his wife.
A series of names have been thrown in the mix to star as hunky billionaire Christian Grey in the movie remake of the risqué E. L. James tome.
Mark has revealed the major obstacle he'd face if ever he was asked to star in the big screen adaption of the erotic novel.
"I don't think I would consider playing the part, I don' think my wife would like that," he told Access Hollywood.
Mark was nearly involved with the hotly-anticipated project. The Hollywood star has high hopes for the film.
"We were very close to getting the rights, we were talking with the writer before she had an agent," he explained. "I just knew that it was going to be a phenomenon, whether I thought it was good, bad or indifferent.
"It was definitely going to be one of those things that would create a huge buzz."
Mark is currently working on a film project with Justin Bieber. He is impressed with the 18-year-old superstar's work ethic.
"We're just waiting for the script, I've seen 115 pages of it and it's really good," he said of the untitled project. "It's kind of like The Color of Money, [first you had] Paul Newman and Tom Cruise, and now me and Justin Bieber. It could be very good.
"He's focused, he's very serious about it. We're trying to create an opportunity to showcase his talents and his abilities."
