The 32-year-old Glee actor went topless for an article in Details magazine, and said that he ate nothing but the vegetable for three days before the shoot to make sure that his stomach appeared toned to perfection.
The actor, who plays glee club leader Will Schuester, told the Sunday Mirror, 'I had to have a six-pack on show. The potato acts as a sponge and your body literally shrinks and gets ripped and tight.'
But his good work didn't last for long. 'Afterwards I ordered two pizzas and pasta.' he said.
