The 32-year-old singer-and-actor ' best known for playing Will Schuester in musical TV drama 'Glee' ' insists he has no interest in being a panellist on a programme like 'The X Factor' or 'America's Got Talent', because he would rather focus on his own career.
Asked if he would be interested in judging 'The X Factor', he said: "Never. I'm not a judge. It's something I've never even though about or aspired to be.
"Not that there's anything wrong with it and I'm sure I would probably be a decent judge, but I want to perform.
"I'd feel weird judging people too, because in this business I get judged a lot, so I wouldn't want to be on the other side. Who am I to judge?"
While Matthew has no interest in appearing on such a programme, he thinks the decision to make British singer a judge on the new US 'X Factor' alongside Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and L.A. Reid was the right one.
He added in an interview with heat magazine: "I don't know too much about her, but she was a judge in the UK. And she's a singer so she knows what she's talking about. So I think she'll be wonderful."
