Melanie 'Mel B' Brown tells fans her husband "would never lay a hand on her".
The 39-year-old Spice Girls star has been embroiled in rumours of domestic abuse for weeks, as speculation is rife her spouse Stephen Belafonte committed infidelity and may have even hit her.
But on Sunday Melanie put hearsay to rest, as she refuted claims Stephen was violent with her.
"I'm very good was very polly but much better now and for the record my hubby never would lay a hand on me sorry took so long but any response fuels rumors #lovemyfamily #lovemyfans," she wrote on Instagram in a caption accompanying a photo of herself and Stephen sitting beside each other with huge smiles on their faces.
Melanie has been married to movie producer Stephen for seven years.
Last week the Hollywood executive addressed nasty rumours he was the cause of Mel B's bruised appearance on a recent episode of X Factor UK.
"I had nothing to do with hurting my wife," Stephen told British newspaper The Sun. "I did not touch Mel. I didn't hit her. I wasn't cheating or anything. There was no girl involved."
Melanie has been dealing with a number of health related matters in the past few weeks.
Earlier in the month of December she was hospitalised for a stomach ulcer.
It's also claimed Melanie will be going under the knife soon to repair a botched medical procedure she underwent 15 years ago, which severely impaired the vision in one of her eyes.
"I can't see at all out of my left eye. The lasering went wrong so this [operation] will be totally life-changing," she told Hello! magazine previously.
"I'm going blind again. I had a bit of a nightmare. I was reading the autocue and then suddenly I realised that I couldn't see properly."
