Mel C says the 2007 Spice Girls reunion was the band's "final farewell".
The singer has put an end to speculation that the girl group are going to perform at the 2012 London Olympic Games and the British Queen's Diamond Jubilee this summer.
Mel explained the concerts have been under discussion but are definitely not going to happen.
"It's such an incredible opportunity and the concert looks like it's going to be out of this world. But unfortunately – bad news for any Spice Girls fans – we don't plan to perform or reform, so I'm sorry to disappoint anybody. We often have things that we talk about and then the Olympics and the Diamond Jubilee came up and it was under discussion but unfortunately it's not going to happen," she said on British TV show Lorraine. "We have to respect each other's wishes and we reformed in 2007 and we had an amazing time. The show was incredible and that kind of feels like our final farewell."
The star also spoke about her relationship with her former band members.
The mother-of-one said Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell and Mel B are like family to her.
She revealed that they get together regularly and will always have a strong connection.
"We like to get together when we can and it's great. Christmas is a lovely time because everyone comes home. Melanie [Brown]'s not been home for a little while but the rest of us get together with the children. It's lovely because the kids play so nicely together," she said. "We went through something together that is so unique and we have a bond that will never be broken. Yeah, sometimes we fall out and we have cross words but it never lasts for longer than five minutes. Our relationships are like [being] sisters – we're always going to be in each other's lives."
