Mel C wants kids

Mel C says she wants to settle down and become a mum.

The former Spice Girl believes she is mature enough to become a mother though she has no desire to get married.

According to Closer magazine she said: "I know a lot of girls dream about their weddings but I'm certainly not one of them. But I hope it will change one day."

Mel, who has been dating 37-year-old building company director Thomas Starr for three years, says she is finally happy with how she looks.

"It's only recently that I stopped worrying about my weight and how I look," she added. "It took me a long time to get better. Age plays a big part. I used to pretend I didn't care what other people thought. Now I don't care. Although it never stops hurting when people are critical."

Her knee ligament injury while filming TV reality show The Games was a turning point. "It made me so much more appreciative of my body. I became far easier on myself and how I looked. I realised I was just lucky to have a body that works."document.write(unescape("
