The Spice Girls want their children to marry each other, says Mel C.
The band – also featuring Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell – are all mothers now. Mel admits raising a family has made each of them realise how important loved ones are. The group want their kids to be an important part of each other's lives.
She has decided that her baby daughter Scarlet should tie the knot with Emma's son in the future.
"It is ever growing. We have three new additions this year and it is a wonderful thing. The children make us closer as well because we want to get together, and we want the children to grow up together," Mel told UK TV show This Morning. "Myself and Emma are arranging the marriage of Scarlet and Beau.
"He is so gorgeous, all the Spice children are, we have done alright – they are all good looking!"
Mel also spoke about the Spice Girls musical.
The project has been in the pipeline for some time, but the singer insists it is still going ahead. Mel is thrilled that Judy Craymer is producing it, while British comedienne Jennifer Saunders is penning the script.
Viva Forever will feature a host of the Spice Girls' biggest hits and will take the structure of a TV talent contest. Mel insists the group are all closely involved with the production.
"We have spoken about a Spice Girls musical for years because the music lends itself perfectly to a show. We initiated the whole thing and we met Judy and got the ball rolling. She is an incredible producer, famous for producing Mamma Mia!," Mel explained.
"We have a dream team, the women involved – it is girl power all the way and they want us to be happy and they keep us involved."
Mel was also quizzed on rumours the Spice Girls could perform at the London Olympic Games next summer.
She claims she has no idea where the speculation came from because she hasn't been invited to appear. Mel would love to take to the stage with her former bandmates if the opportunity arose – but she isn't sure everyone would be as eager.
"I have never been approached about this and I am so disappointed because of course, being Sporty Spice, I am so excited about the Olympics coming to London. It's amazing, it's never going to happen again in our lifetimes," she gushed. "I would do it – yeah! Absolutely. Definitely.
"Would the other girls do it? I don't know you will have to ask them! I think some of them would love to do it and some may not be so into it."
