Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth's alleged romantic reunion has been going on for several months, according to a report.
The former couple sparked rumours of a reconciliation when they were apparently spotted kissing at the Falls Festival in Australia on Saturday (02Jan16). It comes more than two years after they ended their engagement in September 2013, following four years of dating, but it seems this recent meeting wasn't spontaneous.
TMZ claims the pair has been back in each other's lives since the fall of 2015, and that pals weren't surprised to see them getting close at the weekend. While Miley hasn't yet referred to Liam as her boyfriend again, the outlet reports they're "well beyond the friend zone".
They've apparently been in almost constant communication over the last few months, with regular FaceTime calls and texts. Miley is said to be gushing about her former fiancé to friends and even stepped in to look after Liam's pet pooch Dora a few weeks ago when the actor was out of town. Animal lover Miley helped pair Liam with the puppy, who had been in a shelter.
E! News also reports their feelings for each other are just as strong as they used to be, and that getting back together is more than likely to be on the cards.
"Miley came back to LA on Monday after spending the holidays with Liam. She had the time of her life being with him and his family," an insider divulged.
"She feels like they could pick up right where they left off. Miley has never gotten over Liam and always hoped they would get back together. She doesn't know where it will go, but she definitely still loves him and wants to be with him. Liam has an interest in being back together too."
