Miley Cyrus and the Flaming Lips have announced that they will be teaming up in the studio on the follow up to Bangerz.
A growing friendship has been blossoming between Wayne Coyne and Cyrus over the last year, with the two even covering 'Yoshimi' together on the Bangerz tour. They are also working together on a Beatles cover album with the Flaming Lips, covering 'Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds' and 'A Day in the Life'.
"On my last record, everything we did was with computers," Cyrus told Rolling Stone, discussing her new album." But they’re real musicians - they can change keys on a whim. I've never seen anything like it. They've had me on this journey that’s greater than anything I've been on. It's really deep."
Meanwhile the miraculous Miley controversy machine has rumbled on with the singer landing in the UK and making date rape jokes at G-A-Y, getting trapped in costumes on stage and accusing her tweenage audience of being on drink and drugs (as you do).
