Due to the controversial nature of her live shows on the Bangerz tour, Miley Cyrus has been banned from performing in the Dominican Republic.
The singer's performances have been banned from Dominican Republic because Cyrus "undertakes acts that go against morals and customs, which are punishable by Dominican law.” The Dominican Republic commission therefore decided the cancel the singer's forthcoming concert in the country.
Cyrus was due to play Santo Domingo's Estadio Quisqueya on Friday 19 September. Tickets had been on sale since July and ranged from $27 to $370 dollars in price.
The Bangerz tour has received various complaints from people due to the provocative nature of the show. The show includes Cyrus wearing a marijuana leaf leotard, inflatable penis' on stage and a never-ending amount of twerking.
Cyrus has just finished a stint of shows on the Bangerz tour with Lily Allen as her support act in America. After a handful of dates in South America, the final leg of the Bangerz tour will be in Australia in October 2014. For more information visit here.
