Miley Cyrus 'behaviour causing concerns'

Miley Cyrus' loved ones are reportedly concerned she might be the latest celebrity heading for a meltdown.

The 20-year-old star has been having a tough time recently. There has been speculation her relationship with fiancé Liam Hemsworth has hit the rocks, with their wedding plans believed to be on hold for now. Miley's inner circle of family and friends apparently fear she is dealing with her heartache by partying too hard.

"Miley doesn't seem to want to listen to anyone and is intent on doing what she wants, when she wants. She's been staying up at night, smoking and drinking until the early hours. All she says she wants to do is party with her friends and sleep during the day. She seems to be in denial over her relationship," a source told British magazine Closer. "Miley's barely eating and has dropped around seven pounds in the last couple of weeks alone. She's been snacking on cereal bars, microwave popcorn and energy drinks, which she mixed with alcohol. She seems to be addicted to this new destructive behaviour and her inner circle has warned her they're worried that she's following the same path as Lindsay Lohan."

Rumours about the status of Miley's engagement were sparked earlier this year when it was claimed Liam had kissed Mad Men actress January Jones. Miley was then pictured without her engagement ring in Los Angeles, while Liam went to his native Australia.

Miley's father Billy Ray Cyrus appeared on US TV on Monday to promote his book Hillbilly Heart and admitted he isn't sure if the wedding will go ahead.

"I don't know. I know as I was writing a book, I wanted to keep that particular moment [Miley's wedding] as open-ended as possible. I didn't know the answer," he told ABC news. "They're young, they're kids, the great news is they're great friends, they're really good friends.

"I play it by ear, I know whatever's meant to be that's the way it's going to happen.'

Liam and Miley met in 2009 and announced their engagement in June 2012. It was claimed they had been planning to wed this June in Palm Springs, California.

According to insiders, the singer-and-actress is determined to save her relationship with The Hunger Games hunk.
"Liam and Miley are still seeing each other, but their relationship is extremely strained. Miley says she loves Liam too much to walk away," a source added to Closer. "She felt hugely embarrassed by the reports he'd kissed January, but said she didn't have the strength to end things.

"Miley's family are very protective and have been really worried. They've asked her to get help. But Miley seems to be in her own world right now and won't listen to anyone."
