This fall, Miley Cyrus is headed back to a small screen near you. The cropped-topped multi-hyphenate performer has been confirmed to appear on two episodes of CBS' hit sitcom, "Two and a Half Men."
While the cameo had been rumored earlier this month, the network confirmed details about Cyrus' character in a press release late Monday. The former Disney princess "will play Missi, an old family friend of Walden's [Ashton Kutcher] who comes to visit for a week and develops a relationship with Jake [Angus T. Jones] when he comes home from the Army."
Jones opened up a bit about Cyrus joining the show for the limited run, sharing with E! News that while he's "on a need-to-know basis" when it comes to the show's comings and goings, he did express some excitement about the casting news.
"Honestly, they don't tell me anything about what the future shows are going to be. But if that's what's going to happen, it will be cool. I've met her a few times before and it would be fun to work with her," he said, adding about the romance, "Whatever it's going to be, it's going to be interesting."
Cyrus has yet to comment on the role, but she did tweet out the press release to confirm her part on the show. While airdates for her episodes have yet to be announced, the new season of the show kicks off on September 27.
The role is her first since she hung up her "Hannah Montana" wig back in January 2011. She's also slated to hit the big screen in FBI-themed comedy "So Undercover," which opens later this year.
