Get ready to get your diva on! Come this December, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Kelly Rowland, Ciara, and Jordin Sparks certainly will be, as they've been confirmed as performers at this year's "VH1 Divas." It's also been confirmed that divo Adam Lambert will serve as the night's emcee.
"I'm so thrilled to be hosting 'VH1 Divas' this year," Lambert said in a statement about the gig. "I have a feeling it's going to be the most fabulous concert of the year! And live!! Get ready for some amazing performances, killer fashion and fierce divas!"
This marks the first time that Ciara and Lambert will be a part of the show, but Cyrus, Lovato, Sparks and former Destiny's Child singer Rowland have all appeared on the show before. In addition to their sure-to-be dazzling performances, the show will also pay tribute to late divas Whitney Houston and Donna Summer. Both performers had appeared on the show several times before their deaths earlier this year.
"This is going to be one hell of a party! We are extremely thrilled to have the extraordinarily talented Adam Lambert as our 2012 'VH1 Divas' host," Lee Rolontz, EVP of VH1's original music production and development, said in a statement about this year's show. "The world has truly been inspired by dance music and what better way for VH1 to pay tribute than by honoring legends Whitney Houston and Donna Summer through song and dance."
More performers and guests will be announced closer to the show's airdate. This year's "VH1 Divas" will air live on Sunday, December 16 at 9PM/8c.
