MILEY CYRUS has hit back at accusations she cut short a phone interview with a radio show.
The teen singer reportedly hung up on the host of the MJ Morning Show in Florida when he started asking uncomfortable questions.
The DJ allegedly offended Cyrus when he began asking her about controversial comments from Jamie Foxx - who recently joked the 16 year old should "make a sex tape... do some heroin... and become a lesbian."
Cyrus is said to have slammed the phone down as soon as the questions became tricky - but she has insisted that she simply ran out of time to talk.
The Hannah Montana star said she would never behave so badly and put the incident down to a combination of technical problems and a shortage of time.
Writing on her Twitter.com page, she said: "There's a little drama (of course the world loves it) because apparently I "hung up" on a radio station today and I hate to say that's not true. I (have) a specific time limit and schedules are set up for specific time frames for each station... If a station goes over time I am IMMEDIATELY connected to the next station.
"YES, I am sorry if anyone thought I 'hung up" on them. The peeps at the radio stations r friends, we know each other well and have a great relationship. I'm sorry if anything was miscommunicated, taken out of context, or misunderstood."
